Client: Old Amsterdam is a brand from Westland Cheese specialties B.V. The Westland family has been producing this ripened cheese since 1985. The cheese can be bought in 60 countries around the world and won several prestigious international awards.

Activity: NextportChina installed Alipay’s mobile point of sale (POS) solution in 3 of Old Amsterdam’s stores, located in the center of Amsterdam. As a result, Chinese customers are now able to pay with the mobile payment method and have the possibility to receive exclusive Alipay discounts. NextportChina further supported the company with its Alipay in-app marketing in order to increase the company’s online visibility.

The result: by introducing Alipay into its stores, NextportChina offers Old Amsterdam a unique opportunity to reach the Chinese tourist in a very effective way and at low cost. These efforts will increase the percentage of sales from Chinese tourists significantly.
